An online store built for how Maldivians actually shop.
Island delivery, boat delivery, local pickup and SMS-verified checkout, on your own domain. Six merchant storefronts run on it today.
DhiShops is a branded storefront for businesses that are already selling, usually through Instagram or WhatsApp, and have outgrown taking orders by hand. It is not a marketplace listing. It is your store, on your domain, with your name, logo and colours, and its own isolated database.
The parts that normally break for Maldivian sellers are the parts it handles first: delivery priced per destination including boat freight, verification by SMS rather than email, and a board where staff can see every open order at a glance. Payment is cash on delivery or bank transfer, marked by staff as it arrives. There is no card gateway, which matches how most sellers here already take money.
Three fulfilment types: local pickup, island delivery across as many configurable destinations as you serve, and boat delivery. Each destination carries its own charge, applied automatically at checkout and validated server-side so it cannot be edited in the browser.
A six-digit SMS code on every order, including guest checkout, with expiry, attempt limits and resend throttling. Nobody is forced to register just to buy something.
Drag orders through customisable fulfilment columns, colour-coded both by delivery destination and by where the order came from: WhatsApp, Viber, a phone call, walk-in or the web. Phone and walk-in orders can be created directly on the board.
Real-time debounced search and typeahead, nested categories with faceted filters, and a modal product picker with a multi-photo gallery, option selection and a quantity stepper. Any product can be linked to directly by code.
Percentage or fixed-value coupons, scoped to everything, to one category, or to specific product codes. Minimum spend thresholds, maximum use caps and validity windows, all validated live at checkout.
Phone number as the unique account identifier, password reset by SMS code, multiple saved addresses with island and landmark fields, and full order history. Guest checkout stays open for everyone else.
Per-shop branding with logo, colours and store name, a choice of two storefront themes, and configurable SMS and email message templates. Your bank details are shown to customers as payment instructions.
Bulk CSV product import, bulk photo upload, and a spreadsheet-style product sheet for editing many rows at once, alongside category and filter taxonomy management.
Customers request a quote, you send it as a public token link by SMS or email, and it moves through the same six-stage status workflow before converting to an order.
Mobile-optimised layout with proper touch targets, a cart drawer built for thumbs, and Safari safe-area handling so nothing sits under the home indicator.
Six live merchant storefronts share one codebase but keep separate databases, so one shop's data, settings and customers never touch another's.
Soft deletes, audit logging and built-in database backup and restore, on the same footing as Ledger.
Sellers currently taking orders over WhatsApp or Instagram direct messages and processing every one of them by hand.
Worth knowing: Cash on delivery and bank transfer only, marked manually by staff. No card gateway, and no live stock tracking on the storefront.
